If I Had to Re-program my Beliefs Tomorrow, This is What I’d Do
Updated: Aug 25
The things you've experienced through life, and the meaning you gave them, create your vision of yourself, and of life itself.
What you feel, think, and repeat creates your vibration.
And your vibration creates your reality.
So, what stories have you been telling yourself?
What beliefs run quietly in the background?
What do you keep experiencing, time after time?
You get everything you believe, consciously or unconsciously.
And your subconscious mind runs the show, always.
But here's the good part, you can have power over it.
If you want to change what you get in life, you need to change your perception and your level of permission (this is connected to your relationships and I'll tell you all about it in my next blog post).
In my aura reading sessions, this is veryyyy often exactly where we start, the energy field reflects the story someone's been carrying, sometimes long before they've put words to it. It happened twice just yesterday.
Below is the process I guide clients through to begin rewriting theirs.
What i'm about to tell you follows the universal law of correspondence: "As above, so below"
1. Understand the Narrative, Uncover Your Script
Grab your journal (if you don't have one, this is your sign to get one), or open a note on your phone.
Write your story down with as much detail as possible.
Try not to stop until you're completely done, no breaks.
Notice the stories that come up, and the feelings that come with them.
What are the stories about? Pain, resilience, struggle, peace, love, growth?
What role do you believe you play in these stories?
Do you hold power, or was it taken from you?
Who are the "villains"?
Do your best not to judge yourself.
Let the narrative surface so you can get as close as possible to the script that's been running in the background of your mind.
2. Acceptance Is Key
I know things could have been different if... but can you face the fact that they weren't?
Sit with the feelings that come to the surface.
Don't run from them, feel it, notice it, acknowledge it.
Stay there for as long as you need.
Do you feel sad? Like crying? Angry?
Good, that means you've noticed the boundaries that were crossed.
Go punch a pillow, or scream into one.
Felling better? Hope so :)
3. Question the Meaning
Now that you have some clarity, and you've done your best to accept what was, try to understand the meaning you, or your younger self, gave it.
Example: Story: "My parents were always late to pick me up from school."
The meaning your younger self gave it: "There are things more important than me," or "It's better not to rely on them, or anyone."
Once you have the meaning, ask yourself: is this true?
No matter if your answer is yes or no, ask yourself why.
Example: "No, my parents were working hard to ensure we had the best life possible. They were there for me as much as they could be, with everything adult life entails."
Now, can you give it a new meaning?
Example: "I was actually so important to my parents that they worked to make sure I had a good life," or "People who care about me do what they can to take care of me."
4. Repetition, Baby
If you've made it this far, I know you mean business.
I'm proud of you.
You've already turned some keys, now write down your new beliefs.
Use actual pen and paper.
This is crucial; typing won't do it. Handwriting strengthens brain connections and activates areas involved in learning, which makes it more effective for deeper, lasting retention.
Your affirmations need to reframe the meaning of the stories within your story, this is fundamental.
Example: "It is safe to trust people. I look for consistency, not perfection."
Read, listen to your own recording or say your affirmations out loud within the first 30 minutes after waking up, and before sleep.
Your brain is in its calm but receptive state (Alpha state) during these windows, which enhances suggestibility and helps the affirmations sink in.
5. Align Your Actions
Who is the person who holds your new beliefs?
How does that person behave?
Give yourself proof. When you catch yourself acting or thinking the old way, pause, and imagine you're speaking to your younger self.
Acknowledge the feeling that surfaces, internally reaffirm your new belief, and do your best to act accordingly.
Change might take a little time to settle, but if you commit to it, magic happens.
I believe in you. :)
Curious how this shows up in your energy field? A lot of what surfaces in an aura reading traces back to exactly this kind of inherited story. Book a session and let's take a look together.
